zambia

Africa is a completely new continent for the Scandinavian Children’s Mission and Zambia is one of the countries where there is a vast need for humanitarian contributions. SCM cooperates with PMU which is the Swedish Pentecostal Mission Relief and Development Cooperation Agency and the Pentecostal church Europa Porten, together we make a number of important contributions.

HIV/Aids

We are spreading information and proactive knowledge about HIV/Aids through an education project that reaches many people. Zambia has been severely stricken by this tragic epidemic and a whole generation of parents has already been washed away, leaving thousands of lonely children behind.
These children do in the best case scenarios live with a relative or a foster family but their status is low.

In the poverty that prevails you eat your food depending on your age and order of priority where the father, mother and the biological children eat first. If there is anything left it is given to the orphans.

Animal- and cultivation projects

The Scandinavian Children’s Mission will build up animal farms and plant cultivations and eventually make corn flour and other products needed to help the families in need.

We have a huge challenge ahead of us, but together we can help this ravaged country get on its feet again.

Let us save the generation that is going to bring the country into the future – the children!
